She's emo? You’d cut too, if you’ve been through what she has.
She’s anorexic? You’d be too, if everyone called you fat everyday.
She’s a whore? She made one mistake that cost her reputation.
She’s loud? She’s invisible at home, and she wants to be heard.
She’s quiet? She’s afraid to speak, because she’s scared to say the wrong things.
She’s a geek? She wants to get into college, so she can support her future family.
She’s ugly? Tell me, what is the definition of beauty?
Who are you to judge them?
You know their name, not their story.
El verdadero dolor es el que se sufre sin testigos.
It seems only the old are able to sit next to one another and not say anything and still feel content. The young, brash and impatient, must always break the silence. It is a waste, for silence is pure. Silence is holy. It draws people together, because only those who are comfortable with each other can sit without speaking.
Always be yourself. Never try to hide who you are. The only shame is to have shame. Always stand up for what you believe in. Always question what others people tell you. Never regret the past, it's a waste of time. There's a reason for everything. Every mistake, every moment of weakness, every terrible thing that has happened to you. Grow from it. The only way you can ever get the respect of others is when you show them that you respect yourself and most importantly, never apologize for being you.
If I said I was truly over you,
my heart would say 'amen'.
People who talk behind your back, call you names, step all over you, push you around, and hold you down, are the people who matter the most... They make you stronger everyday. Because when they say something behind your back, you smile and keep walking. When they call you names, you simply turn the cheek. When they step all over you, you get right back up and dust it off. When they push you around, you stand tall, and when they hold you down, you just have to pray for them.
